And its those murders in the blighted areas that count too. You know, black lives matter, even if they live in the poverty stricken area of Chicago..

The study is conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit and ranks the top 60 safest cities in the world. Only three US cities made the list's top 20, including Chicago.

Now, you may wonder. The other two cities must be from down-to-earth, peaceful, Bible-thumbing Red states right??! Must be Dallas, Pheonix, etc, right??? Wrong. They are blue states cities San Francisco and Los Angeles.

But how can that be? We all keep hearing how dangerous Chicago is!!! This can't be!!

Fact is, Chicago has certain areas that you want to avoid; but they also have many many safe and gorgeous neighborhoods. The right-wing, as typical, only cares about the Chicago that is south of 59th St. and they shout/repeat until you think all of Chicago is like the area south of 59th St.

And this is one point that I made before - Chicago is still much safer than most areas in red states. Essentially the worst of the Blue is still better than the best of the Red. This is what many of us need to remember.

This kid is not from Cuba. I am guessing the outskirts of Chicago or maybe somewhere in Oregon. Lots of nuts out there too. The humanity....

789 murders in the last year tell me he would be the smart one if he hasn't.

I've been the the rich part of Chicago and it's nice but then you have the Soweto section that is on par with Soweto.....long time Democrat corruption has devastated the city and it's getting worse.

The ironic part is people want to run around and ignore all the black people dying in chicago, to pretend its so safe, while at the same time, telling us the black lives, matter.. even though they dont want us to look at them..

The only black lives that matter to BLM is the ones the cops kill (so about .001% of black deaths) that they can use for political purposes....the other 99.99% of black deaths do not matter one iota to BLM or else they would have demonstrated that they do.

About the corporate - city corruption, that happens everywhere.
What a ridicules thinking that a city .... only makes a White or Asan neighborhood safe? People living in a area make it safe or not. People choose not a city chooses.

I've seen where Chicago repaved streets in bad neighborhoods, added new sidewalks (as that city does) still provides street-sweeping at least bi-monthly in the hoods. But CRIME STILL IS PRESENT. GANGS STILL TERRORIZE RESIDENTS there.

But even some of Chicago's worst crime hoods look quite good. City is quick to board up condemned or unsafe declared properties. Removed worst of the blight in the past. But still PEOPLE MAKE IT A GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD SAFE NEIGHBORHOD OR NOT. Front green-space grass is cut? They don't .... the city might knock.

Political agendas skew realities and see negative suggestions WHERE THEY ARE NOT NOR IS INTENDED in my post.

You are twisting Black life's matter too. But sadly.... there is double-standards in the world as are extreme beliefs in others values, if they do not meet ones life-style expectations and prejudices if culturally they differ.

We all can be guilty of some... but others ARE RADICAL IN BLAME and cannot see value in a city if politically .... it is seen as on the other's team....

You can bet corruption happens everywhere. I look at my County and city (in central PA by no big city) and nearby small cities and state OMG. Corruption on both teams. In politics .... oh for sure and aspects of business. There isn't a big American city that isn't and many times too .... much smaller ones nationwide. Red states included.

Just read forums on NYC corruption..... then think only Chicago .....
