Why Investors Bet on Gun Sales After a Mass Shooting

Why do people buy guns after a mass shooting?

Gun stock prices climb after Las Vegas mass shooting

One sure bet after the latest round of mass shootings is that gun enthusiasts will run out and buy more guns.

So a gun or ten will be used to shoot a bunch of people, and the result is the sale of tens of thousands more guns.

"Someone ran over some people with their pickup truck! We've got to go out and buy thousands of trucks in case the Gov't tries to take away our trucks!!"

Why do you care what people do with their money?

Liar. Minutes after the Vegas shooting started you liberals were pushing for more "gun control". Feinstein admits no law could have prevented it, but that hasn't stopped her or people like you from pushing for more laws.

"If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them . . . Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in, I would have done it. - Senator Feinstein (D)
The only difference between now and then is liberals aren't honest about their goals on camera anymore.

Are you kidding? The first thing the Dems do after a shooting is start pushing more anti-gun laws.

Are YOU kidding. The likelihood of Dems or anyone else having any kind of effect on gun possession is infinitesimal at this point. If 10,000 guns were confiscated a day it would take 82 years to rid America of guns.

Guns are here to stay.

But gun enthusiasts still see a threat. Where's the threat?? Why the need to purchase hundreds of thousands more guns when they will NEVER BE TAKEN AWAY??

They said the same in both England and Australia. Reality is different.

You do know that the only people who would voluntarily turn in their guns are the law abiding? Criminals wouldn't because, well because they're criminals.

You ever see a gun buyback? You don't have gangbangers lining up for a $50 gift card. You do, however, have little old ladies, and some men, turning in collectible, in some cases worth multiple thousands of dollars, guns for that gift card.

The City of Annapolis had a squirt gun buyback several years ago.

Exactly. We have all seen it happen. The poor souls that were lost in Vegas had barely left this earth and the Left was going on about gun control.

I actually believe that if Hillary had been elected the Senate and Supreme Court would have actually set aside the amnesty for illegals bills to concentrate on rewriting the Second Amendment in order to disarm every single law abiding citizen of all but single shot muzzle loaders after the Vegas shooting and the ridiculous Reps would have sat on their hands out of fear of being singled out by the Dems.

The thing is they have been telling us for years that we cannot hold responsible all Muslims for the terrorist actions of a small percentage but for some reason they do hold all Legal gun owners responsible for the actions of one. ?
This makes sense to no one but the Liberals.

So, you are not opposed to confiscating guns. You're argument is that it is just going to take a long time, so we needn't worry. Right.

Sorry chum ...your argument is flimsy.

Gun nuts are so easily manipulated. The vast majority of them do not own their guns - they are owned by them.

They are willing to vote every time against their own best economic interest out of fear that "the government is gonna take away mah guns!" while happily supporting corporate and government scum that will instead take away their jobs, healthcare, and freedoms. Trump is only the latest example of this aberrant behavior since it's been going on for decades now.

Unfortunately, they just don't care about the facts and instead live in some alternate reality where America's gun crazed and violence-loving culture somehow has a low gun death rate (it doesn't) and where a gun is somehow not only more useful than a job or healthcare, but also a magic weapon that always kills "the bad guys" - as well as "the government storm troopers" and anyone else they don't like with no consequences except a pat on the back from the sheriff like some cheesy western. They cannot tell fantasy from reality and simply believe the Hollywood world where "blowing up the bad guys" is a far more useful option to have in reality than, say... having a job.

It's such a sham, but as long as they allow themselves to be exploited by those in power in every way imaginable so long as they get to keep their guns, they will be the perfect tools of the elite who seek to remove power and prosperity from the people. As I said, they are owned by their guns, and owning guns does NOT guarantee you life, liberty, or happiness.
