A civilized country that provides free healthcare and education for that child, right? And proper paid maternity leave for the mother to provide for the newborn, along with proper welfare for those who are forced to have that child but can not afford it so that child can receive a fair chance?
Who am I kidding. Naw, as soon as that baby is born, "It's the mother's problem" It's the American way!
And talking about civilized, yeah, let's ban all abortions. Let's go back to the high violence rates we had in the 70s, 80s and 90s before Roe vs Wade kicked in, reducing the number of unwanted children who grew up in poverty.

Abortion is legal. How about not bringing more kids into this world until the hundreds of thousands of kids in foster care are adopted. You only care that they are born but don't care what happens to them after that. Many of us do though.
If you are in a burning building, on one end of the building is a baby in its crib, on the other end of the building are 100 fertilized embryos stored in a rack for ivf, which side do you get to safety first?
Someone said once that if men could become pregnant, abortion would become the law of the land. Men are so quick to decide what women should do with their own bodies, so easy since they have no dog in that fight.
Prolifers are always against someone having an abortion, but I don't see any of them jumping up to adopt those kids.

The further problem is that in the third trimester, it has a fully developed cerebral cortex and thus is, as far as possible in in its limited environment, self aware. It is a life. That is science, not opinion.

What is it about these crazed lefties and their total inability to grasp reality and engage with those they disagree with? Abortion opponents think that abortion is murder. When you dismiss their objection with a "let others do what they want", you're saying murder is fine.
