On TV and you can find numerous articles on Google regarding this murderer bringing 23 people that he sponsored.

I've seen he married so one person might be his foreign wife.

As an immigrant I'm stunned to hear about 23 people to be brought in as that sounds like a fraud case which must be made possible by USCIS employees as it should not be possible to be 21 years old and within 9 years you bring in 23 people on that one green card.

Only kids are able to come here in that green card so how can a person that age bring so many people here with the process taking a few years?

On top of that the murderer now claims not understanding English so well!

Having been at USCIS a few times, I have seen Muslim families with large families and an attorney telling the parents to make sure to keep the kids quiet and not to say anything and later seeing them all walk out happy.

Since I have been there more than once, I have seen no other families with so many kids sitting there as usually it is small families are couples.

Merit based visas makes more sense as we now see in this case and we don't even discuss small crimes committed by kids if parents who came here like this.

23 people! Maybe someone can explain how that's possible for a green card holder, NOt a citizen yet! None of the information I've heard so far mentioned that this monster became a citizen yet.

Even a citizen shouldn't be able to bring 23 people in but that's JMO!

We are being invaded by terrorists, illegals , and anchor babies . The invasion has been going on and really took off during the Obama years. Obama had the welcome mat out for his two terms to all who wanted to sneak in.

Trump said the suspect was the " primary contact for- and this is preliminarily- 23 people that came in with, or potentially came in with him".

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/01/u...a-lottery.html

Contact does not imply sponsorship.

Temporary visas require a " point of contact" - someone who can presumably vouch for the identity of the Visa applicant. It does not imply sponsorship or responsibility.

https://www.immihelp.com/visas/ds-16...formation.html

The Diversity Lottery does not require a relative or special skill.

The green card enables an immigrant to petition for immediate family members, spouse and children.

Reportedly he married in the US and has 2 children born in the US.

Not clear that " contact" equals sponsor.

Schumer and the bipartisan " gang of 8" advocated for the end of Diversity Visas as a part of a broader immigration reform plan.

As is typical of Congress critters, they tend to " bundle" proposed legislation into bigger bills so that nothing gets done. It's as bipartisan as it gets.

But, but, but, Obama!

Of course it was G H W Bush who signed the diversity visa program into law but I guess you'd rather not mention that.

The guy came from Uzbekistan, no wonder this guy was so intolerant of non Muslims.

Pressure on Uzbek Christians increased last year. The number of raids on churches spiked, and fines for illegal religious activities now exceed 100 times the minimum monthly wage. Short-term prison sentences (3-15 days) are frequently meted out as a punishment for Christian religious activities

Your perceptions are in conflict with history.

The Obama Admin deported 2.5 million people, more than any prior Admin. Trump referred to Obama as the Deporter Chief and told audiences he ( Trump) would show compassion.

Illegal immigration became a tidal wave in the 80's and peaked with the housing bubble in 2006. No wall is high enough nor patrols deep enough to prevent illegal immigration so long as US employers continue to hire undocumented people.

Only a handful of states have made eVerify a requirement of all employers. Why is this? Why hasn't Texas embraced eVerify? Why has the powerful US Chamber of Commerce lobbied against e-Verify? Big corporate employers use eVerify to screen all employees hired subject to checks, as corporate policy regardless of state laws. Smaller employers- not so much. Why is this? It takes seconds to execute.

Why would the Trump Admin lead with " the wall" instead of eVerify? Could it be that there is not enough support within the Republican- controlled Congress to make it the law of the land? Could it be that too many Congress critters are influenced by lobbies, donors and constituents who benefit from undocumented labor?

Why would a POTUS who campaigned on jobs for Americans, use seasonal visas to staff his seasonal resorts?
What becomes of these seasonal workers at season's end? Why not pay more and poach US workers from competing resorts in season?

I thought that had something to do with changes in how deportations were defined?
