A survey from the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, and conducted by research and data firm YouGov, claims that half of American millennials say they would rather live in a socialist or communist country than a capitalist democracy.

Here’s where it gets even worse; 26% of millennials viewed Che Guevara as a hero; 22% viewed Russian president Vladimr Putin the same way, and 18% viewed the father of communism, Karl Marx, as a hero. 17% felt that Vladimir Lenin should be venerated; 16% felt that way about Mao Zedong; 13% pointed to Josef Stalin and Kim Jong Un.

Poll: Half Of Millennials Would Rather Live Under Socialism Or Communism Than Capitalism | Daily Wire

This explains a lot of the mindless logic being spewed, the violence displayed by Blackbloc and Antifa, and the wave of anti-American sentiment by young Americans.

These despots they look up to are guilty of murdering 100s of millions of their own people, and they would prefer to live under such oppression?

Sad

Communism, socialism, and capitalism would all be terrible to live under in their pure forms.

The happiest and most successful countries nowadays run on hybrid systems of the latter two.

This is alarming, but it's not completely damning for our future. By all accounts, the iGeneration (generation after millennials) is trending much more conservative. Also, a lot of these millennials haven't accumulated wealth yet. Once they have, they will certainly re-evaluate wealth re-distribution.

And 90% of Republicans want to live under a dictatorship.

No one cares.

Go find the poll itself and read the other questions.

Even less of the millennials can even define socialism, communism or fascism or know the difference between them. And only 1/2 of them can even define capitalism.

Millennials answered similar to other age groups.

The poll mentions that all age groups didn't understand the meaning Communism or Socialism or Fascism. This was the key discovery from the poll.

This link has poll results for all age groups:

http://victimsofcommunism.org/wp-con...2017-final.pdf

7 in 10 Millennials (like Americans as a whole) either don’t
know the definition of communism or misidentify it.

...
Is it socialism or is it communism? Many are
confused

...
Fascism is also confused for communism

I am not big on surveys and polls at all.

Just living about, there does seem to be most millennials that have a real strange way of thinking.

This is a serious question.
I'm wondering how people think that this type of thinking came about.
Generations beliefs and actions are usually directed from previous generations.
What previous generations and their actions have molded millennial thinking?
When I think of mellenial thinking I see hypocracy, bullying, out of touch with reality, pushing agendas in peoples faces, can't admit when they are wrong, full of self hate, insecure etc
Not everyone in that age range, but a heck of alot.

What else do they got? They went to college and got fake degrees in useless majors and wonder why they can't get a job that will pay off their loans and permit them to pursue the American dream. Their parents wont be around forever to support them.

To be fair, they were pushed all their lives to go to college no matter what. Unfortunately, the expected time to go to college is immediately after high school. That's absolutely not enough time to make life-altering permanent life decisions....as a teenager.

I went to college at 17 and majored in Econ. I enjoyed it, but am now happily in software engineering. If I had the time after high school to really evaluate things, I'd have just majored in Computer Science.

As for debt...the only reason I don't have any debt is because I nearly killed myself working 3 jobs to the point where I feel like although I have that degree, my time in college was a waste because I was always too exhausted to focus on my studies.

If I had my way, no one would be expected to go to college until the age of 20 or so. Have some time to start working, saving up, thinking things through, etc.
