The belief system of the left is what is causing this craziness.
Unfettered gun ownership is what's causing this craziness. The shooters come in all shapes and colors and religious beliefs and political leanings, but they all have one thing in common--unfettered access to guns.
How about the pagans and Hells Angels? Lotta guns ... Open carry. Shoot em ups. And the cops let them relax and call family on their cell phones. I'm surprised the cops didn't buy this killer Burger King. He may have been hungry like Dylan Roof......

Period.
What about the guy last week? What about him? What can we ban to stop that?
That shows number of guns per person, not gun ownership rates per household. It is well known that there are a smaller number of people owning larger numbers of guns. Something like that is going to skew gun numbers upwards (and thus # of guns per person).
In other words, if you have 3 people out of 10 who own a gun, and those 3 people own 2 guns each, then you have 6 guns per 10 people. Then some years later, you have 2 people out of 10 who own a gun, but those two now have 5 guns each, you now have 10 guns per 10 people. But the reality is, fewer people own guns, it's just that the ones who do own guns have more guns each.
Another liberal source stating the same:
Quote:
Premeditated mass shootings in public places are happening more often, some researchers say, plunging towns and cities into grief and riveting the attention of a horrified nation. In general, though, fewer Americans are dying as a result of gun violence — a shift that began about two decades ago.
In 1993, there were seven homicides by firearm for every 100,000 Americans, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. By 2013, that figure had fallen by nearly half, to 3.6 — a total of 11,208 firearm homicides. The number of victims of crimes involving guns that did not result in death (such as robberies) declined even more precipitously, from 725 per 100,000 people in 1993 to 175 in 2013.
Older data suggests that gun violence might have been even more widespread previously. The rate of murder and manslaughter excluding negligence reached an apex in 1980, according to the FBI. That year, there were 10.8 willful killings per 100,000 people.

Yeah, yeah, and next you'll be talking about swimming pools and how many people die in them. It won't work. Gun violence is rampant in this country. Massacres have become commonplace. It's insane. And we have to collectively admit that it's insane and not pretend that this is normal. It's not.
And complete inaction doesn't lead to any wise countermeasures either, and that's all we've seen after every one of these tragedies. Candlelight vigils and politicians saying empty words of condolences, and meanwhile the next idiot with a gun is out there ready to have his day. And the one after him is just waiting for his turn. And on and on and on.
No, we have tried it your way, with complete and unfettered access to guns, and what we have ended up with is massacre after massacre after massacre.
!
We do not have complete access to guns. Felons are not allowed to own them, fully automatic guns are illegal, and gun registration is required.
Complete and unfettered would require no rules, no registration, no disallowing anyone to own.

Oh, you mean the guy who walked into a Walmart in Colorado and killed three people with a gun?
