Seems like many big cities are at a boiling point and people just don't care anymore.

303 homicides already this year in the city of 610,000 people.

Amazing, that even with swarms of police officers and detectives one block over that inner-city thugs just don't care.
This is Baltimore. Violence in Baltimore is nothing new.

Cities of similar size ran by liberals.

Portland,OR
Seattle,WA
Boston, MA

Albuquerque,NM

All ran by Democrats. None of them have murder rates higher than 7.8 murders per 100,000. Seattle had 23 murders in 2016. Seattle has a population of about 680,000 people. Seattle has NEVER recorded a triple digit murder rate. 69 murders constitutes a record high for Seattle, in 1994, when the population was around 520,000 people. Seattle, a Democrat-run city, is the fastest growing city in the USA. Baltimore is losing people every day and has been violent for a long time.

Remember during his inauguration address Mr. Trump declared that such violence ends, now? From his speech:

"At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction: that a nation exists to serve its citizens.
Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families, and good jobs for themselves.

These are the just and reasonable demands of a righteous public.

But for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists: Mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities; rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation; an education system, flush with cash, but which leaves our young and beautiful students deprived of knowledge; and the crime and gangs and drugs that have stolen too many lives and robbed our country of so much unrealized potential.

This American carnage stops right here and stops right now."

Even I, cynical as I was concerning many of his campaign promises, had a momentarily flicker of hope when he said such, thinking that perhaps, just perhaps, he can make good on this lofty promise.

Alas! It was not to be.

Indeed, it seems that the inner-city carnage has fallen off his radar.

Ah, well. There is, in reality, little that he can do, I suppose. Others have tried, and failed. Drugs, of course, seem to drive much of the violence. Americans do seem to love their drugs, whether illicit or prescribed.

Save Boston, the cities you have listed are also western cities. Yes, it isn't simply a fact that those cities, such as Baltimore are run by Democrats, but also the fact that much of their old industrial and tax base has been eroded and, frankly that they have high black populations, which were denied equal rights for decades and also have suffered greatly from continued policies, which have created a lack of an economy at all in these inner cities such as Baltimore, St Louis, Detroit.

So funny how there is never any personal accountability.

You know the difference between these cities and cities like Baltimore, Detroit, Oakland and NOLA.

Seems strange doesn't it? American liberals whine and rant for gun control when white people are killed by in a mass shooting. Yet when black people are killed in our inner cities, they tell us to just supposed to accept it as normal. Hard to ignore the fact that liberals don't give a damn about the lives of black people in this country, so long as they vote for Democrats.

Uh, the police station isn't in a great area. Police HQs is literally next to the Hustler club and the strip clubs. I live 20 mins from Baltimore. Baltimore has sucked for decades. I hate the city. It doesn't really represent a good Democratic city like New York, DC, or Boston.

Yes, violence needs to be addressed in this country. Just within a couple of months we had white guys shoot up a bunch of innocent people in Vegas and at a Texas church... Our country has a problem with gun violence...
