The armed neighbor stopped the madman from continuing at another location.

Your solution of throwing pennies in a wishing well to get rid of the chemical reaction needed to discharge a gun surely won't be of any benefit.

Now that we’ve established that point, answer the damn question in the OP!
It's actually more like 2% commit 70% of the murders. They are going away when they kill each other or end up in State prisons.

As far as OP, we'll never know who bad it would be if the good guys were not armed. Why does anyone want to restrict the rights of honest citizens?

Applying their same solution to other problems:

How do you solve the problem of substance abuse?
You get rid of all drugs.

How do you solve the problem of crime?
You get rid of all criminals.

How do you solve the problem of teenage pregnancy?
You get rid of premarital sex.

If getting rid of guns is the answer to murder, surely they believe in the solutions above since they take the exact same approach.

Eeeeeehhhhhkkkkk! (Wrong answer buzzer sound)

Too late. A few dozen were already dead. “The armed neighbor blah, blah, blah”.....straight outta the Repub handbook. No dice.

Why didn’t this very heavily armed society stop those murders from happening?

How bad it would be? What are you talking about?

Since government hasn't ended poverty, I assume you feel it's time to cut off all welfare programs right?

It's all or nothing in your book.

I'll give up guns if you'll give up government that hasn't fixed every problem.

Which should not be the case based on pro-gun talking points. We should be the safest in the world with so many people owning guns.

Why the contradiction?
It's you.
El Salvador, Venezuela, Guatemala, Colombia, Honduras, Brazil, U.S. Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago all have rates at least 3 times higher than America

How about discussing gun related drug deaths? I mean if you actually care about the truth and don't care if make your handlers upset.

Maybe because most of the mass shootings occur in gun free zones?

There are a number of correct answers to your question.......... but a couple are
1. For some reason despite his record of violence and mental issues the shooter wasn't in the data base.
2. There was not an armed citizen at the door of the church or inside. (I am not advocating this)
