It is clear to me one of the characteristics of anti-elites is cynicism. In their minds, people don't get rich because they want to accomplish something and happen to get rich in the process of accomplishing that thing, they get rich because they want to get rich and are more than happy to screw everyone else in the process. In the cynic's mind, wealth is the end goal and the accomplishment is nothing more than a means to that end. Really sad they think that way. Maybe they might want to talk to some successful "elite" and ask them what was their motivation. Though, probably they wouldn't believe what they were told.
Capitalism is business people, corporations, and workers manufacturing, buying, and selling around the world.
Globalism is the politicians and bureaucrats doing there level best to syphon off as much money and power they can from the capitalist and working class.
Capitalism is anyone, anywhere, anytime, trying to maximize profits and accumulate more property. Any employee with a 401K plan or a life-insurance plan invested in the stock market, is a capitalist.
Globalism is the belief that national borders should not be a stark limitation for the flow of capital, labor, intellectual property or investment opportunities.
Idiotism is the belief that any person in a position of power - be it politics, corporate management, university administration or even the local homeowners' association - would somehow be immune to maximizing his/her own personal benefit.

"Anti-elites" aren't so much cynics, as troglodytes. They believe that a Jeffersonian agrarian utopia is somehow possible, or even desirable. The targets of their ire aren't so much wealthy entrepreneurs, as semi-wealthy technocrats. It's not the billionaire tech-company founder who attracts their vitriol, but the mere millionaire lawyer, or tenured professor. The stampede of pitchforks isn't against persons who've done well financially, but against people who are fluent in multiple languages, who enjoy chess and bridge instead of football or NASCAR, who did a stint as visiting researchers at Oxford of Cambridge, and who think that lawnmowing is at best a necessary evil.
There's nothing wrong with globalism, except for force feeding developed nations refugees and expecting us to support them with tax dollars, bend over to accept their culture while they don't accept or try in the least to assimilate to the culture of that nations they are invading.
Globalism is great, with a productive, educated populace. It's not so great when refugees are flooding in, being force fed, increasing the crime rates, and bankrupting the social services.
Where I part ways with globalists is wanting no cultural identity of any sort.. trying to purposely divide the powerful cultures using refugees and minority cultures, so to have a "melting pot" that they can more easily control. Once they give up the force feeding refugee bullbleep, I'll be more inclined to support them again. They just want to let anyone and everyone flood into all our developed nations.. I want the best and the brightest, those with a future that will be an asset to our system, and not a drain.
The E.U. plans to fine member countries an astronomical $280,000 for each refugee a member country refuses to accept as part of the plan.
