The suppressor on my Ruger 22 Takedown drops the .22 LR to subsonic.

Probably still too powerful considering it can take down a squirrel.

The standard AR-15 shoots a very small, .22 caliber round (5.56MM/.223) originally designed for small game. There are MUCH more powerful rifle rounds out there. It is NOT a powerful cartridge compared to many others.

A pistol's use is to give you time to get to your long gun.

As I said, then they better not watch me engage the paper man........I tend to do that with a .308.

Firing that rifle, it's a WHOMP! when it sends a round down range. That WHOMP! is better than sex!

Its truly sad so many people are conditioned to this extent that they do not believe anyone except military and law enforcement should have some weapons!!

The whole intent of the 2nd was the founding fathers best defense against tyranny, there is liberty when a govt fears its people. But I guess I shouldnt be surprised, I mean, after all, what would a tyrannical govt naturally seek to do...make majority of its people believe they should not have access to certain weapons, its tyranny disguised as security, its a shame more people cannot recognize this.

There is only 2 reasons Americans have guns.

1. The military has them, the government.
2. The people need them to make sure those who are a part of number 1, try anything The People have some defense.

So everything else with guns between Killings, hunting etc is a side effect of that freedom. Example drinking is legal and you can die and kill other people drunk with a car. That Freedom has its effects.

Which is why the government spends so much time trying to restrict "The People" from guns :-)

As you say, the people will be able to purchase handguns, shotguns, and various long rifles (for those worried that mass murderers will be hampered, recall that Charles Whitman used a deer rifle).
Full auto is legal to own. Stop spreading lies.

I am a legal dealer in full auto weapons.

"Power" is determined by the caliber and load of the type of ammo.

The AR platform comes in several calibers and types of rounds.

The most common and popular is the 5.56/223 which was originally designed for medium size varmint hunting.
