There is much evidence Bill Clinton was a womanizer. Their is zilch evidence he raped anyone. The Clinton accusers all told conflicting stories at one time or the other. Even Starr agreed there was no case.
They may have believed it was 2000yrs ago. Some may think so even today. I don't care what's the age of consent in anyone's neck of woods. Heck I don't even care what it is in mine. If someone in his 30s had pursued my daughter when she was 14, that POS would have had to deal with me and her father first.
ps. and I don't guarantee he would've been able to pursue anyone after that.
Yeah.....it certainly hasn't been 2000 years since this was common practice. Not even a 100 years if we're going to be honest about it. Luckily, we have made tremendous strides over the last 100 years and finally came to the realization that allowing our young teen daughters to marry old men of better means was simply ridiculous and wrong. I have a 15 year old daughter, and I am right there with you in regards to how you would have handled a situation such as this. More than likely, the last time you would have seen this man would have been on the missing person posters!

It sure has...but as long as everyone and their father has been named, I'll just say that the republican party should get with this Moore guy privately and find out if there is any truth to these accusations. And if there are, get him to drop out. The republicans wouldn't want that guy to make it far up the ranks as Dennis Hastert did.

I remember a girl in 8th grade who smoked, wore a face full of makeup, had bleached 'trashy' hair, dressed in short skirts and tight sweaters. She had a grown woman's figure. Certainly didn't act or speak like a kid. She dated young soldiers at the local army post. I doubt any of those guys would have guessed she was only 14.
Kids back then were more mature than today's coddled ones with extended childhoods. Forty years ago most girls just wanted to get married to leave home.

I believe the women BECAUSE if you read the WaPo article, the reporter made it very clear how it was investigated, how it came to light and why the women didn't come forward sooner.

There was NO mistake on Moore's part about the 14 year old's age. He knew the girl's age. Did you even BOTHER to read the article???
The Republican Party's Senate campaign wing on Friday severed its fundraising agreement with Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore.
Federal Election Commission paperwork filed on Friday showed that the National Republican Senatorial Committee is no longer listed as part of a joint fundraising committee with Moore's campaign.
It's the most concrete step Senate Republicans have taken to separate themselves from Moore.
