Trump judge nominee, 36, who has never tried a case, wins approval of Senate panel - LA Times

So of course the senate judiciary committee approved him.

Three years out of law school. Never tried a case.

You're missing his highest qualifications - he's a young and reliably partisan conservative politician who, when confirmed by the Republican-dominated US Senate, will be on the bench for at least four decades.

The largest and most lasting effect of Donald Trump's presidency will be seen in the judiciary...and that's not by accident.

Shameful on the republican senators to approve someone with so little qualifications.

Lack of experience is considered an asset in Trumpland.

Go to a surgeon who scored lowest in his class and has minimal experience?

Perfect, we dont need no fancy elitists.

Oh, well we certainly can't have someone who supports the NRA!

You do know that the Second Amendment affirms the right to "keep and bear arms," right? So what's wrong with supporting the NRA which teaches gun safety, among other things?

I wonder if these morons who voted for this nitwit know that the Federal Judgeship he is going to assume will be deciding multi million dollar cases that should have nothing to do with politics. He will be making decisions on regarding juries, objections, and motions. Having practiced in front of inexperienced judges the true losers are the litigants, I.e. You. It figures it is Alabama where it seems idiocy and ignorance is the prime requirement for appointment to judgeships or election to political office.

Hypocrite Mitch McConnell stonewalled all of Obama's nominees including the eminently qualified Garland. Then turns around and railroads inexperienced and unqualified candidates through approval in record speed.

Sounds like they see the writing on the wall, and trying to pack the courts as much as they can before they are ousted.

If there is any truth to this, and I have my doubts, where were the Democratic Senators objections? They certainly took their time "vetting" Gorsuch, and he is well qualified.

Something in this story doesn't smell right. There has got to be more.
