As I recall, didn't trump make a big deal about infrastructure being next - after "Trumpcare." After the bruhaha during the announcement did he just drop it all together and move onto Taxes?

What is happening in the world of Trump Infrastructure?

If Donald Trump had come into the WH and acted half way like a sane person, and if he would have sat down and worked on jobs, helping businesses grow, infrastructure, and the economy, he would have had a shot at maybe changing some of our minds about him. But NOOOOOOOOOO, he had to come in and spend every waking moment trying to get rid of anything and everything Barack Obama accomplished.

But, in fairness to him, he painted himself into a corner by promising his core that he would build that stupid wall, repeal Obamacare, and kick all the Mexicans and other immigrants out. So he had to attempt those things to keep them happy, after all, they are all he has.

Now, he is between a rock and a hard place..........he can't get any of those promised things done, and he also has Mueller breathing down his back.

Yes, but what about this? Is a EO all he could come out with? Is there ANYTHING actually being done about infrastructure? After the dust up did he just decide to take his Tonka trucks home and not let anyone play?

Can't pay for the infrastructure plan and welfare for the investor class too. Hard choices have to be made...

He acts like he is a multi-tasker, but he can't even accomplish a single thing. You are right - he had the power to sit down with both parties and say "this is how it is gonna be"
1. We want comprehensive immigration reform - yeah, compromises are fine also.
2. We want to add 25 cents to the gas tax and bond some other projects and spend a trillion right away on everything from trains to tunnels.
3. We will - starting today - improve the ACA so that 100% of people are covered. We will start attacking the cost curve as soon as we complete full coverage.
4. We will NOT lower any taxes until we achieve a balanced budget. After all, don't you believe in paying for what you use?

And if he did it right, he'd have the real media on his side as well as a majority of the population.

But it's not going to happen because he's not capable of it intellectually or emotionally...he wants to be able to push a button or sign an EO that someone else writes and be done with it.

He's a national embarrassment and a tragedy for this country...and in a sense, the whole world. My major concern is that we get out of this without a nuclear war and without a complete economic crash. That's not a high bar.....but I can hope.

Exactly. With an upcoming trillion dollar GOP tax cut for the wealthy, you can forget about federal dollars going to infrastructure.

We will have the best plan ever, that I can tell you, believe me. Itís going to be big league infrastructure, people, many people, great expertise, are already saying weíre going to have unbelievable infrastructure, the best infrastructure. Our plan - and we do have a plan, not like the fake media who are very unfair to me, donít believe the failing NY Times, is going to be so- I mean it is - so fabulous that everyone will say theyíve never seen infrastructure like this before. Youíll see. Very soon now. And Mexico is going to pay for it.
