The world is not and will never be a utopia, sorry, just isn't going to happen.

Even places with strict firearm laws have their own set of problems.

So you do get it...guns give them this ability....so they won't be handing them in anytime soon. Glad you finally understand.

You're 1 in 30M+ people with 35 firearms. How many other people do you know that has 35+ firearms in CA?

Nope, precisely why I said, get rid of all the guns period. I don't know why you have this thought in your head that there must be shootouts between good and bad guys. Get rid of the weapons and the problem is gone.

Correct. People who don't obey laws can have them too.

That's the whole problem with "gun free zones". Remember?

Shouldn't our attitude be that if only one life is saved from passing stricter gun laws than it is worthwhile?

Shouldn't that be the standard?

Liberal logic: Maybe we should fight obesity by banning and seizing all the spoons in the country and limiting all forks to 2 prongs.

How can we realistically expect to solve the problem by banning certain types of guns but not even look at the hot mess that is mental health treatment in America?

It's just a quick-fix that doesn't do anything but make some people feel better and robs the rest of another piece of their freedom.

A heck of a lot more than most people would believe. You get away from the coast here and it is VERY conservative. There is a huge military presence here.

While my case isn't that common I know a bunch of people that have 5 or more because they hunt. I just don't see them giving up all of them. Probably a few and then hide the rest. That has been the case in Mexico.

Don't give me the excuse now that all of a sudden we need this to be paid for without deficit spending.
No. Most won't comply with unconstitutional laws. In CT most didn't turn in their ARs. There's 100+ rifles and of those probably 50 million "sporting rifles" (ars,ak's, mini 14s,etc)

Not going to happen.
