Tolerant is extremely "values centered" meaning that lot of intolerant people actually aren't but consider themselves to be so relative to their own beliefs and values.
Haven't you learned yet that diversity is just code word for anti white male?

I lived there about 10 years ago and yes it has a very high percentage of gay residents. They don't bother anyone and in fact most of the ones I knew were very nice people. Palm Springs is indeed a very unique city in many ways. Beautiful in the winter but Hades in the summer. A stroll down the downtown area is indeed a must do experience. The whole surrounding area is simply amazing.

As long as they represent the citizens of their district who cares where their uglies are inserted?

Oh right, its 2017. Identity is politics.

So instead of electing people because they are qualified, we now elect people specifically for their sexual orientation, race, or gender?

Yes, you understand now.

And, why do they that? Because of your history of oppressing them.

I took the glass is half full approach and gave them the benefit of the doubt. My first thought was "So what, as long as they are qualified and do a good job."

If the panel was instead all white, all black, all male, or all female, would we still be talking about the power of all ______ politics?
