Looks like the efforts by the Chinese envoy failed....

US hits Chinese firms as it boosts North Korean sanctions.

Sure...

Let's wait a little while and see if this "China is on our side" nonsense develops any more positively than all the others before it. Because that's an old and tried ploy that for some strange reason just never works out.

NK is Russia and China's snarling little chihuahua that likes to bark a lot.

And they love having it keep Japan, SK and the US on edge.

Xi isn't about to do anything that'll change the equation.

Putin won't allow it.

Forces China, no it doesn't. That said if they can make any headway in the problem I am willing to give them the credit.

As a liberal, I am willing to give Trump the credit if he manages to diffuse the NK situation without war. Everybody should want that.
They are super angry Trump has fared so poorly in his first year and are lashing out at Dems because they are not yet able to accept the facts as they stand. From a factual standpoint year 1 has been a disaster for both Trump and the GOP. Never before in US history has a new POTUS failed to pass his first major legislative bill. Never. Trump is on the record as the first POTUS to fail. And worse he tried 3 times and each time it failed.

So when Team Trump sees anything at all that looks like a win for Trump they jump on it and lacking anything to really discuss here they instead repeatedly attack the "other team" .
Hardcore Trumpism cannot survive without it being them against the world. If Trumpers accepted the facts based world they would have to admit Trump did not have a healthcare plan that was cheaper better and would cover more people... if he did why has he still not shown it to the american people?

they have painted themselves into a corner, anyone not in that corner is evil. that is how they see it.

as to giving trump credit, i have a post on this forum today where i give Trump full props for a bill he is working on...

Oh, my. Seems that China does not like Mr. Trump's new sanctions on North Korea.

Trump's response will likely be "It wasn't Me!"

Quit antaganizing North Korea with aggressive troop movements on the border. Bring the troops home to protect our borders like the Constitution says.

Really -- seems Trump wasn't so effective. North Korea fires new ballistic missile, South Korea says - BBC News

Why is North Korea being so aggressive with this administration -- they don't seem to be afraid of the USA at all.

Probably because Lil' Kim quit receiving his tribute payments from the US when Trump took over in January.
