Looks like he got off at least for now. I do believe he is guilty but as you can see these cases are very hard to prove when it comes to proving they received favors in return. We obviously need much stricter ethics laws for our politicians.

This is in the hands of the NJ voters. Strange that Corey Booker supported him, that was a pretty large risk but he probably owed him.

I heard he will be investigated for the underage prostitutes by the Senate Ethics Committee, the same one Franken will be exposed to although conventional wisdom is that body is toothless and just for optics which could be why Franken volunteered. Crooked politicians.

Menendez got off lucky by timing, his goose may still be cooked but he'll likely just not seek re election. But there's not much a difference between him and Moore at least they way they're described. Menendez is probably more corrupt given his tenure, that's a given in DC politics.
But the voters of New Jersey ride the short bus and wear helmets, they have to given all the crooks and losers they've elected the last two decades. And that doesn't speak too highly of their next governor or any Senator they have currently.

He's not a white man wearing a Cowboy hat and tawkin' like a southerner, so liberals aren't outraged.

I guess the idea of a court of law and a Jury are foreign to people. I hope that he is retried, that will come down to strength of evidence.

I would love to see Moore in a court of law defending himself. We know that will not happen. He is afraid to admit he is a pedophile. He is doing what criminals do deflect and attack some where else. The shiny object.

I wouldn’t be so sure his goose is cooked. This is N.J. after all. I could see him getting re-elected.

Details here about the hookers and here about how Dems are responding. They are sticking their fingers in their ears and singing "La la la."

Looks like a conviction means Gov. Chris Christie would appoint a senator to replace him.

The hung jury and mistrial, had 9 jurors voting for acquittal and only 2 for conviction. It doesn't seem likely there will be a retrial, unless it is politically driven.

This is a thread about Menendez, not Moore, and pedophile does not mean what you think it does.

Just goes to show that being educated doesn't mean you are smart.
