I DESPISE Al Franken. I think he is one of the worst liars, and propagandists in politics. Also, he had NO talent when he was an entertainer. That being said, I don't think we should call for his, or other's resignation until all the facts are in, and there is proper evidence of what he did.
As someone who's actually worn a flak vest, I assure you it's impossible to grope someone through one. The other part of the story is clearly sexual harassment, and he should probably resign.

You must have missed the part where I said that the rest of the story is harassment, and that Franken has to go, right? There is no groping, though. He's touching the modern-day equivalent of a suit of armor.
PS from the article, it seems Franken apologized for the incident. He made no defense for the photo other than, he meant it to be funny. clearly he is not suggesting it was planned and that she was party to it.
There is also a charge that he forced a kiss that was unwanted. He also apologized for this, while stating he didn't remember it as she did.
so the claims it didn't happen are inconsistent with his own comments.
