Yes and I am certain that no stupid things happen in New York or California. There is no geographical boundaries for stupid.
In this case an 80 year old man, who is most likely senile screwed up royally.

People do stupid things all the time.
I have to agree with this. It's gun safety 101. You never point a weapon at another person and you never put your finger on the trigger unless you are preparing to shoot your weapon.
