Its a way the DOD can make some money on the side to fund "special" projects.

In my Dad's WW II era 'special' projects included things like loading a bomb-bay with beer and sending it up to altitude to cool it. I'm guessing it's gotten a lot more 'special' since then.

No that still happens. Although from the stories from the 80's guys......things aren't nearly as "fun" as it use to be.

My son worked with the VAQ 130 pilots at Whidbey until last year as part of his command at Whidbey NIOC and he is not surprised at all . LOL.

It is hilarious. Some people's anuses are too tightly drawn. Hehe.
