The shirtless protester in this viral photo successfully ran for City Council - CNN

Wanted to get this up before a RWNJ did. Actually I put this up for the liberals here. Get up, get involved and if we all do things like this guy did, we can drive the nutjobs that put Dear Leader into office, guys like bannon, back into whatever hole they crawled out of.

Do you check under your bed at night for Antifa?

Heaven forbid we have anyone in government who's passionate about social justice.

He's not BLM or Antifa and was never violent.

He's a college graduate and was coming home from coaching middle school football when he drove by the site of the protest in Charlotte. He's a camera man by profession (films for the Charlotte Hornets) and recorded the protest and posted the videos on social media.

His shirt is off in that photo because it was being used as a mask for tear gas which was being used at that protest.

That day forward, he got involved in protests and began speaking out and recording the events on social media. He then got involved in politics. He was a peaceful protester, never involved in voilence.

It's an interesting story about how someone got involved in politics.

He mentioned in another news story that he knew several of the police officers and was having peaceful discussions with them that day. One of the officers suggested that he run for political office.

I don't agree with the violence of antifa and what BLM has turned into but I applaud this young man for standing up and getting involved. One might say that we can thank Trump for inspiring people to get involved in politics.

I do wonder though when this guy attends his first city council meeting if he will bother to pull up his pants...

Thinking that a black life matters as much as a white life is racist to some folks.

What you intend is defeated when libs bestow titles on people like Kaepernick and pro Sharia Law Linda Sasour.

Pssst... your identity politics is showing. Winning an election while black does not automatically make a person Antifa or BLM.

Pants half way down to his knees = thug

Well, that's the stereotype, anyway.

Whenever I see these types so-called peaceful protest, I think of arsonists.
