15 men exonerated in cases linked to corrupt Chicago cop - CNN

Quote:
The drug convictions of 15 men in Chicago have been thrown out after they claimed they were framed years earlier by a police sergeant, who went to prison for a related crime, and his team of officers.

The dismissal of charges against the men, who together had 18 convictions, is believed to the first-ever mass exoneration in Cook County, the nation's second most populous county.
Again, black crime rates are nowhere near accurate.

Yeah, they’re most likely higher since many crimes go unpunished. You ask for it

The innocent should be released. That ought to be a universal sentiment.

looks like people are being over-policed. Innocent men all exonerated and you're claiming stuff goes unpunished. What a stupid thought process?!

It's not about the race of the cop or the victims.

It's laughable that you think one case of police corruption has nothing to do with the correct reporting of shy high black crime rates. It is a fact that blacks committ an overwhelming amount of crime based on the percentage of blacks in America. It's not that they are black that makes them do that. Nothing to do with skin color either. Not that you care about the why either. When you cannot bring racism into the issue you aren't interested. Not looking for the truth will do that.

While many crime rates can be skewed for various reasons a dead body is dead body.... Murder is not a crime where statistics are easily skewed. It stands to reason that a demographic with a very high rate for the ultimate crime will also have high rates for lesser crimes.

That is correct. There are degrees of murder in the U.S. though, just as there are degrees for most other crimes. Kidnapping is among the worst crimes.

One way to look at it and not ignore the race factor is to consider this stat. In families of black folks where there's a mom and a dad, 6 to 8 % live in poverty, not too bad. In families where there's no dad? That shoots up to 37%. That's enough to be a factor in a lot of problems for those families, up to and including making bad "career choices".

Those stats I gave were uniquely for black families.

Besides, I thought we were talking about crime in south Chicago.

Welfare doesn't create much chedda. Drugs and violence stirs up more bling, so, these were some of those bad "career choices" I was referring to. Didn't think I had to get so specific.

Ummm, having daddy around, as a provider and such, might be a start.
