We are. What were the odds!!?? Russia hit the lottery when a nonentity like the blowhard real estate promoter/failed casino operator they wined and blowed in the last century turned up on the radar as a viable candidate for US president in the 21st century! What WERE the odds?!

I jest. Empirical evidence and facts are like kyptonite to conservatives!

BTW, Politico has a great reputation among journalists of all persuasions.
Politico was exposed by Wikileaks. Politico was writing articles, then sending them to the DNC for approval and/or editing prior to publication "per their agreement". Spare me the "great reputation" nonsense. Thanks to Wikileaks, the genie is out of the bottle & will never be stuffed back inside.

They were pretty good considering they'd wined and dined all the political candidates for US president. The Russians had been buttering Clinton bread for quite some time. Jill Stein was wined and dined by Russia and has a long list of connections to Russia. Bernie Sanders also has close ties to Russia and they'd been priming that pump too for years apparently. I never took the time to look into the Russian connections with the losers of the GOP primaries, but I presume they exist as well. What is undeniable is that all the Democratic candidates, like Trump, had been wined and dined by Russia for years.

It is wikilieaks that is not to be trusted. They've been proven to be little more than the conduit for Russian hackers' data dumps. They're not journalists. Try reading the article and follow the story.

Sure. What has Moscow got on Jill Stein or Bernie? Answer: nothing to not much because a) they haven't done much wrong and b) it would be a waste of Moscow's time because they were never going to win anything; they're a distraction. But go ahead, cite your sources.

Uh, Hillary was our secretary of state; it was part of her job to go to Russia and talk to high Russian government officials. Or, didn't you know that?
