Yep, lock up employers who knowingly hire illegals and cut off all social programs to them and they would self-deport.

Until the government does this, build a wall.

I guess they've never heard of eminent domain.

Has nobody actually read up on this?

They admit they will eventually lose in court, but they are using the money to hire the best eminent domain attorneys to drag it out in court for as long as possible.

In short, they want to make it as expensive and time-consuming as possible for the government.

I do think it's a little odd that those who are always barking about "freedom," "individual rights," and "limited government," are now boasting about the power of eminent domain.

It’s a publicity stunt by the people who “invented” naughty Apples to Apples. It’s a very on brand form of marketing. The kind of people who play this game are exactly the same kind of people who want to think that they’re doing something when really they’re just wasting everyone’s time and money.

There are certainly a lot of ways that eminiment domain is being abused, but border national defense is one of the things that all but the biggest libertarian would have to admit is probably within the original intent of the concept of eminent domain. If they really wanted to do something positive there are a thousand better things they could do. They don’t, though. They want to get publicity worth more than what they’ll pay for the land and maybe feel smugly superior while doing so. And this comes from someone who thinks the wall is a terrible and ineffective idea.

I guess you don't either: A. Live near the border, B. Have kids in public schools.

Because illegals have a serious impact on quality of life for us US tax payers. You are a tax payer, right?

Perhaps we could do the same thing to Mexico that they are doing to us. We could save a TON of money too. Offer freedom to all of our prisoners if they are willing to cross the border into Mexico. Maybe then the corrupt Mexican government will be willing to stop encouraging their undesirables to invade our country...maybe if we send them enough criminals they will build the wall for us to keep us out

Cards Against Humanity Buys Land on US-Mexico Border to Block Trump's Wall

Trump sells the land to Mexico, and the wall is established north of the property. Problem solved.

Ah, a publicity stunt like the bakers and the lady who wouldn't issue marriage certs. A bunch of others - some made it to the SCOTUS.

"Illegals" make sure we have low cost housing, decent food prices, landscaping and other farm work done are reasonable prices and plenty of hard working in the hospitality and other industries.

As far as living near the Border - Texas is always complaining but hasn't seemed to have a problem using Mexicans and S. Americans as virtual slaves for many decades. So AFTER using them to buttress and build their civilization (what there is of it), they complain that they are being dragged down by those cheaper and harder workers they imported or let stay.

Amazing.

Texas is so tough, right? Why don't they simply make it so they are not able to be hired. This would be easy for a 6 gun law-abiding, tough-as-leather bunch of guys in broad white hats....right?

They act as if they are too stupid to clean up their own mess....and I guess they are. Jail a couple hundred Texas employers - Michael Dell or the Oil BigWigs if needed, and watch how quick things will change.

But they won't. Because every lazy society needs hard workers....and 6th generation Texans don't raise their kids to be ditch diggers, landscapers or cotton pickers.

He is saying closing schools won't get them to move. I agree, going after businesses that hire illegals is the only way they will leave, if work dry up.
