Surprised nobody has commented on the size.
Apart from the ostentatious mish-mash aesthetic, if I had something that big on my table I wouldn't have room for food or be able to see my guests.

The servants come around the table with the platters to serve guests. It's not family style like the rest of us.

Of course, why didn't I think of that? Perhaps they will serve the food, silver service style in clam shell platters to keep in with the ongoing theme... ?
