There are many reasons that Democrats mention Hillary winning the popular vote. One major reason is to remind everyone how few people actually voted for Trump. Another reason is to show the dangerous path of gerrymandering, as Republicans try to block Democratic votes.
who started gerrymandering??? yep the democrats

Then why are most of the gerrymandered districts configured to be full of Republicans.

if you understood civics...every ten years (census) districts are re-drawn due to the population changes...

and the democrats stared gerrymandering like 100 years ago.... why do you think the dems had control of everything for nearly 60 years

repugs just followed suit....they did the exact same thing that the dems have done..ie they stole the play from the dems play book

They have to keep reliving the election because that’s all they have! Nothing accomplished since then.

If the Repubs keep control, the gerrymandered districts wii remain the same... It’s worse than ever. I’m for making zip codes the district lines.

one could want that,...or saying county lines....but

there are a heck of a lot more zip codes, or counties than 435

for example New York has 27 representatives or districts.....62 counties ......2100 zip codes

north Carolina has 13 districts...100 counties.....1080 zip codes

the problem is how to divide the state for representatives.... in the years where the census is complete and the dems have the power..they divide it to favor them.....in the years where the census is complete and the repugs have the power..they divide it to favor them.....

for example:

you are have 2 reps..your state has 3 counties, county
"a" is almost all dems, county "b" is a 'even' split, county "c" is almost all reps...................new census is done..... reps gain a few people in "b" county (moved from "c")...they draw the lines to make sure the split favors them......10 years later, more people move...now the dems gain people in "b" ...they complain they they are not evenly split, or the split doesn't cover them... and back and forth

Gerrymandering will ALWAYS happen.... form both sides....one side TRYING to gain a limited advantage..the other complaining..... as the populations change, flex what ever you want to call it, the districts will also change

only solution is to set the lines and numbers as of "date" and will never change, no matter what the population does......even that is not a solution because someone will say no fair as the demographics (political leanings) of the area changes with the population....

Heard another Republican crying about being reminded Clinton actually had more votes than Trump. I get it -- it hurts Republicans feelings to hear that more people in the country voted for Clinton then against. They think Clinton is evil and they can't imagine -- so when we troll them with reminding them -- more people like Clinton then Trump -- lolol (makes me laugh every time)......they get outraged, rant, rave, rage...whatever -- lol.

It is funny to think that. Clinton -- probably one of the most controversial politicians ever was liked more than Trump.....lololololololol.

The popular vote means very little, actually, it means nothing and that's why she lost. She only achieved a popular vote victory because of one state that is overwhelmingly lopsided in a handful of counties...and a couple of cities such as Philly that are lopsided. 3 or 4 counties and one city don't get to decide for the entire country.

This is why we have the EC system. It is the design that makes sense. It forces politicians to have to represent everyone. Without it politicians would be able to be 100 percent bought and paid for.

But you want to believe that Russia put Trump in the White House.

Well now, there happens to be a lot of evidence of Russian meddling, including multiple contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian government officials and operatives (one Trump associate has already pleaded guilty and two Federal grand juries are still at work crafting indictments) and also a lot of very public evidence of Trump trying to block the investigations.

No evidence of the myth that millions of illegals voted, that ridiculous claim was started by some immature blogger who had nothing to go on but an imagination, and then picked up and passed around by nut jobs as if it were a fact. There is nothing there.
