Well, we were made from the carbon of the Earth just like these robots. Maybe they are our destiny. Maybe we were meant to create the next intelligent being even though they will likely wipe us out when they figure out just how illogical mankind is.

No, not those robots. They are not antonymous. Who is controlling them? You would be surprised how much tech like this is already in play. The real conspiracy is that Google purchased Boston Dynamics a few years back. Why would Google purchase a company that is building robots for defense. <wink wink>

Humans aren't capable of following those "laws".

Since Humans are doing the programming of the robots, how would I believe that the robots would?

Of course one could just change the word "humans"/"humanity" to something else like "google". See the problem? Who programs what the robot perceives as a threat of harm?

Where did you get these set of laws?

They were stated by Isaac Asimov, from a 1942 short story which I believe became the movie I, Robot.

Yes, the U.S. is already a land of robots. Their programming just needs some updating apparently.
You have interesting points.

The difference between humans and robots is humans are part of nature, part of the cycle of life.
Humans have coping skills, reasoning, love, hate, fear, compassion, empathy, etc.
A robot is a machine run by humans. And in time can be run by evil humans. Whom the good humans may not be able to overcome or sure make it miserable in many forms.
