Under state law, a conviction for speeding more than 40 mph over the limit results in the assessment of 11 points against a driver’s license, enough for an immediate suspension of driving privileges.
Only arrogant and selfish people drive that fast on public roads, in my opinion. If you need to drive at that speed, find a race track and pay to drive on it. Putting other people in jeopardy is not okay.
I had to follow an ambulance to the emergency room when my husband went into septic shock after surgery to remove cancerous tumors last winter and I still stopped for red lights and obeyed the rules of the road because I have respect for other people.
People are such hypocrites... people in power found to do the exact thing they punish others or criticize others for doing should be stripped of that power and kicked out of their professions.
I cannot stand that arrogant loudmouth. She needs bringing down a peg or two. I hope this humbles her (though I doubt it).
My God, me neither. When I see her on TV, I can't hit the remote button fast enough. Good for her getting caught, I hope they don't look the other way. They sure wouldn't if it were you or me.
That was my first thought! That's a nice stretch of road for letting it rip.

The book? C'mon now. It's NY. She'll have to hire a lawyer, plead not guilty, and if she's a first time offender she'll get a big, fat fine and a couple of points on her license. And her insurance will tick up. She won't even have to show up in court.
