The taxes on the middle class are already low, so why drive up the national debt by cutting them further? Besides, this tax plan will increase taxes on many in the middle class, and small businesses, so its a moot point. For me this is by far the largest tax hike in my lifetime.

Neither party has had a decent tax plan The right think that the rich should pay less taxes then the working class, while the left (who are rich themselves) think the rich should pay more yet some how they get rich off of it too. It's all a scam no matter which party you lean towards we the working class get the shaft while the rich get richer nothing to see here keep moving.

There are far more losers than there are winners, and those "winners" drive up the cost of living for the "losers" in their area due to the displacement effect, making the majority even poorer in real terms

The Democrats and their supporters are complaining. I'm merely asking about what ideas the Democrats have to offer with respect to taxes. With all the complaining we're hearing from the left, you'd think that the Democrats had a much better plan to offer the American people, but if the responses in this thread are any indication, then the Democrats are totally clueless. It's funny that the left is simultaneously complaining that the Republican plan is helping corporations, and hurting 401ks and IRAs. How can that possibly be the case? If increased profits lead to stock buybacks, then retirement plans will directly increase in value.

Just FYI, a supermajority is when a party has the Presidency, a majority in the House, and 60 Senators or more. The Republicans only have 52 Senators and therefore do not have a supermajority. The last supermajority was held be the Democrats during Obama's first 2 years in office. The result was the disaster known as Obamacare.

I do take responsibility for my own actions, but I don't pay off Senators and Representatives or pay the wife of a Supreme Court Judge $100,000 while he is hearing one of my cases.

The only plan is to increase taxes on various things under the guise of being socially responsible. Every increase is painted as being necessary for human rights or saving the planet or equality or something. When you see it you can't unsee it, but it's still just a money grab.
