Strictly defined as the former Confederate States (Kentucky and West Virginia did not secede from the union. Oklahoma didn't exist in the 1860s).

USA outside the former Confederacy, Electoral Votes: 219 for Clinton, 159 for Trump. Even if you keeping the these-days peripherally Confederate Virginia, Texas, and Florida instead, she still would have won 232 to 226.

So blame the South for Trump's electoral college victory.

Hey, if you're gonna play up "Without California, Trump wins the popular vote", then I can play the same thing with the South - even when slicing off TX, FL, and VA

Thus, this geographic slice-and-dice is just a "Blame this region" for ______, bullsh.

And? Without California, and illegal alien votes, Hillary wouldn't even be able to claim she won the Special Olympics, er popular vote.

It is wrong to give the South full credit for the wonderful 2016 election.

The Rust Belt deserves kudos, too, particularly Wisconsin and Michigan. We should thank Pa, too.

How long do you plan on playing this same old song and dance? Trump has been President for a year now and everyone already knows he won the Southern vote and enough in the Midwest to win the election. Come back when you find some more recent news or at least something that's not more than a year old.

Another whiny liberal desperate for any justification to say Clinton won. Pathetic.

Don't want Trump to win again? Don't select a candidate guaranteed to alienate half the country who spends their entire campaign telling everyone who dares not support them is a racist, don't ignore states where you lost the primary and maybe Trump won't win again.

I am thankful for whoever kept Clinton out of the Whitehouse. Didn't want the one who is in it now either.

California is the best state in the union. There would be no modern America without Cali...

We have elected an uncouth president who can't take criticism. He has to lash out at anyone and everyone even in is own party. His speeches are all about him and what he will do...not what the party will do. Sorry but I'm sick of having a narcissist in office. Our country should always come first, not any president.

I think God deserves a little credit, too.
