Just heard Conyers would conduct staff meetings in his underwear!

Seriously, this man is in his eighties so must have dementia.

If these pigs were executives of CEOs of companies, they would be fired . We should be able to demand the firing of these slobs by simple referendum of the voters they represent. And ANY one of them charged with sexual harassment while in office should be publicly exposed. That hush money they've revealed is a disgrace. Those that were responsible for paying off those they abused should have to pay that money back.

rules are needed, but it's a shame they must be added. Can't men get get along with women without sexual interest or at least have enough self control???

Both sides are going to showboat against him.

You have a very selective memory, which is unfortunate as it weakens your criticism of certain current events. As someone else mentioned, Paula Jones went public in 1991. And as far as newly #woke Democrats claiming that things have changed (they sound like slavery apologists claiming that slavery was just the way things were, despite the fact that you had a large and vocal part of the country being clearly anti slavery even during the height of the institution as practiced in this country), you had Republicans calling Clinton what he was from the beginning. As for me, mere allegations have never been enough for me to call for someone's head (metaphorically speaking), but I will gladly call out hypocrisy on this issue, which seems to be most pronounced among the left. The truly sick and hypocritical thing was that, as far as Bill Clinton goes, leftists tried to divert attention away from the other, more serious rape and sexual harassment allegations against that perv by focusing on Monica L., stating that it wasn't a big deal that "consensual sex took place between two adults." This was the narrative pushed by the left and their media hacks. Moreover, and what was truly mind boggling, Bubba was still treated like an elder statesman even after leaving office, and even was allowed to give the keynote address at the 2012 DNC. This was with full knowledge of the allegations against him. And Hillary proudly stated that he'd play a big role in her administration had her doomed campaign been successful. What a disgrace. Note, as far as I'm concerned, these are not just mere allegations against Bill Clinton as he settled for nearly $1 million with Paula Jones. While not an admission of guilt, it looks shady as hell, just as Weinstein's settlements look shady as hell. And this doesn't even get to Monica; I've explained numerous times why it wasn't just a simple case of "consenting" adults.
Juanita changed her mind, remember? She completely recanted her allegation.

Default John Conyers is stepping down as head of Judiciary committee.

John Conyers is stepping down as head of Judiciary committee.

He is guilty as hell and he knows it. He has paid out from the slush fund that protects congress members when they engage in sexual misconduct. Beginning of the end of a scum bag.

Wait until the pay for no work hush money gets thoroughly investigated. One is already known. One too many. What if there are there? According to Rep Pelosi, Conyers is an icon. And, more.

I'm OK with Conyers going - and I don't mean just from the Committee. He's wayyyyyyyy too slow and ancient anyway. Listening to him drone on and on (think Ben Stein's "Bueller, Bueller, Bueller") could put someone on speed to sleep. Even if he isn't guilty of the charges he needs to make room for a younger more interesting speaker who can get people fired up and engaged with the conversation rather than simply put to into a coma-like sleep. He's probably the single worst Senator (on either side) to listen to - and a perfect argument for term limits.

Good! America should come together on this stuff. The hell with Democrats and Republicans. Anyone who has sexual misconduct scandals should go.

There are sexual predators in office on both sides of the isle.
