If this office is valid then there should be all kinds of tangibles to show its worth. I can only imagine how many such offices exist that do little more than spend money trying to justify their own existence.

How many people really need to staff this kind of dept to begin with? In regards to technology, we have pretty much plateaued, I cannot remember the last time I heard even a claim of something new that was truly groundbreaking and would change everyones lives, change how cities are designed and built, etc etc.

IMO, we have reached a point technology wise, where if they allow the public anything greater or more powerful, it starts to impact control and/or authority govt has over the people.

I mean it's not like the internet has changed the world in the last 20 years and is still being figured out. It's not like robotics and AI are becoming viable and will revolutionize the economy, no green tech either. We should prob turn away from science and allow China to pick up the mantle of world leader in science and tech while we go back to focusing on coal.

The provincialism displayed here is astounding. Trumpsters don't seem to understand that there is more to the world than what they can see outside their front door. IT's astounding that 33% of our nation is like this.

At most President Trump will be in for 8 years, then it's likely a Democrat will be President and you can have all of your science and technology focus back again. I swear, lefties are like children getting their stuff taken away. Cry, cry, whine, whine.

Of course the concept of 'integrity' is foreign to Trump's thinking.
Another department that does nothing but write policies then for other departments to follow..

translation.. GARBAGE...
