Women should definitely be able to choose who touches them and be able to walk away from anyone talking to them, but the problem is when they label an initial approach, an innocent comment or a misplaced glance as harassment.
It's like the example the gay man (Metro....) gave in the other thread about his traditional welcome lunch being viewed as harassment. He had to show a picture of his boyfriend in order to defuse the issue.
It's like my example of trying to read a name badge.
Those things happen a lot.
Exactly my point as well that pretty soon making eye contact is going to be considered sexual harassment if all this continues down this slippery ass slope.

I actually agree that some of these "sexual harassment" claims are going a bit overboard.. Even the "he tried to kiss" me claim. As long as when you pull away and say no they leave it at that, I am ok with that. I understand that a man can misread a situation and think a kiss may be welcomed when its not.
I also think that sexual assault and sexual harassment are being lumped together, which is a very bad thing, in my opinion.
Do women objectify themselves when they wear short skirts, high heels, tight blouses etc? Not that I mind. I thoroughly enjoy them. Don’t attack me, I’m not excusing harassment. Just an opinion question. Looking nice is one thing, but putting out the sexy vibes seems practically unfair. #justwalkaway.
No, wanting to look and feel your best does NOT mean you want to be objectified.
True. I have an ugly uncle thats been accused of harassment for hitting on some women. If he was real attractive he probably would have just got laid.
So.
If Im offered pumpkin pie, apple pie and cherry pie and I only like cherry pie am I obligated to eat the pumpkin and apple pie too just because it was offered to me?

No, but don't be offended you were offered the two other pies.
