They should all be judged on their merit. I prefer to error on the side of the alleged victim. That said before any allegation makes headlines, it should be investigated beyond agenda.

I am not sure. Especially when it gives an opportunity to blackmailers and extortionists

If there is change to be made, it is encouraging women to report and press charges right away. Not decades later. This ensures the person will actually be punished and won't be able to do it to anyone else
That is a great question, dashrendar.
And it has so many levels.

Statue of limitations in so many ways should not apply to people who are sexually abused and physically abused. The horrific effect of the abuse to the person abused has so many layers.
And if it happened years ago, females were very reluctant to speak of it. Still today, but hopefully they can speak more freely and do not have to feel guilty about it due to how society has been and still continues to be.

It is all of our hands to make these people including children who are being abused and or raped to feel safe in coming forth. And there are plenty of programs and support for these people. So yes, they can speak of it and the perp gets an adequate amount of time in prison, so they cannot do it to anyone else.

How do you expect there to always be proof?

Ask the perp perv to hold on a minute while you get a camera?
Years ago there weren’t smart phones with cameras. Which made it even more hard to prove.
And now why wouldn’t a say 8, 11, 6, 13 year old stop to think of that while they are scared to death while it is happening.

Sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to say. What do you mean.......the thing is, one does?

You mean like with Trump's *****-grabbing tape? So people see and hear that and still elect this man as president. No wonder people are hesitant to come out.

Trump admits on tape about grabbing women by the *****. He talks about kissing them just because he can. So I guess absolute proof is pretty meaningless too.

It is, in a criminal court. A civil court is a separate category.

I'm talking about believing allegations of sexual assault. Trump pretty much admits it, and people pretty much ignore it. And we have to ask why women are hesitant to come out with their stories? Even when a man admits to doing these types of things, he still gets elected president of the U.S. And that is my point.

Why did all those women only show up a month before an election?

Maybe they don't want a child predator in the Senate? Who knows?
