Law makers have no business making people pay taxes on a new stadium.
Sports teams are private business’

Not to mention a bunch of arrogant over paid spoiled players. And a lot of them do crimes.

Has anyone even bothered to add up the local taxes players, owners and local businesses pay that would not be collected otherwise?

The Romans found out long ago that if you keep the masses pacified with stadia (historically correct spelling) and such, they will be less likely to revolt over government corruption.

Think is terms of "Cultural Community Development" and what is Tourist Revenue..... cities with attributes will always attract more tourist value than cities without attributes.

Could there be other investments, "yes"... but as a society... we;ve not awakened to the dire necessity to heavily invest in the promotion of "small business development"... when or if we do... we will see progress all across America.

Big cities are Dem controlled mostly. Self fulfilling prophesy.

It should be outright illegal for any sports team to demand a public stadium. Crony capitalism at its worst. Subsidizing billionaires with a monopoly.

Ridiculous and evil. If the business needs a stadium, it is the business which must bear the cost of such. Mussolini would be so proud of these governments...
