Truely deranged.
Now that, my friends, is truly deplorable. (the article)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

If so, how are you going to handle it?
Yes, My church family anyway. We have a Thanksgiving dinner every year. I'll handle it the same way I do any other time, hug them and tell them I'm glad to see them (because I am), and probably talk about the game that will be on later.

I disagree. I'd say my family is about 80% Trump supporters with the rest of us voting "other" or not voting at all.

Politics can be a touchy subject, obviously...so I'm certainly not going to bring it up. I still love my parents even though they voted for Donald Trump.

How many times do people have to mention satire in this thread...before they realize that the article the OP posted was satire???

Yeah, no one actually suggests anything about GQ being a parody magazine.

This entire discussion reminds me of BB's crazy post about that--obvious--satirical article.

Doesn't help when the OP is telling those of us pointing out that it's satire to read the article.

I see, the issues the writer has with Trump are actually satire poking fun at liberals who are making mountains out of mole hills.

Now that you point out that criticism of things like Trump's cabinet is overblown and that his EPA picks are reasonable, I can see the parody in this.

I'm very lucky. No one in my family is deranged. Even the one Republican (he married into the family) is sane enough to despise the P*u*s*s*y-Grabber-In Chief. He sat out the election because he could not vote for his party's candidate last fall.

My deepest condolences to anyone who has deranged cultists in their midst.

You're saying it a parody showing how the criticism of Trump is overblown by suggesting an over-the-top response?

That is how the article would be satire. It would start with a false premise, in this case the egregious actions of Trump, and then the cartoon response of ruining Thanksgiving.

So, do you agree with the author's "parody" and agree as to the silliness of the Trump overblown criticism?
