I don't know where you're getting this garbage from ...making it up I suppose. And I don't know about you're family, but we still give thanks to God. But I guess atheists have to have someone to thank to give meaning to the holiday.
Thanks for pointing out that 400 years crap! Pure ignorance.

Sigh.

As I posted previously, the first Thanksgiving celebration known to have been held in America took place in 1619, in the Virginia Colony, two years prior to the better-known celebration with the Pilgrims and Indians, in the Plymoth Colony.

2017-1619= 398 years. Mighty close to 400.

Thanksgiving pre-dates the founding of the United States of America in 1776 by over 150 years. That's true of both the Virginia and Plymoth celebrations.

Unless you want to go by the date on which Thanksgiving was declared an official national holiday - by Abraham Lincoln.

Or do I mean a little kid with his hands over his eyes, chanting 'Nyah, nyah, nyah, you can't see me!!"?

BTW, I think you mean "they're", short for "they are", not "their", which is a possessive...
Spot on analysis.

I agree that Thanksgiving is traditionally a holiday with both historic and religious aspects, and that most who celebrate it acknowledge both.
I stand corrected. I checked on the date. You are correct.

Except that I was wrong! It was nearly 400 years ago that the first Thanksgiving was celebrated. I had not remembered.

True. I don't know what I was thinking.

What are smoking?

He is so shallow and if that what your America is, then you need help.
