I think it is interesting how almost everyone in a big city has a smartphone with earbuds to ignore the environment in a liberal city like New York.
I know in Liberal Phoenix usually nine out of ten people walk and ride trains with earbuds to ignore the panhandlers and people on heroin withdrawls asking for money. Oddly, once one goes into Republican it immediately gets so much friendlier and non-pretentious.
Liberals pride themselves on never looking at people they don't know. In Liberal cities a vast majority of the non-elderly population goes to public with smartphones and earbuds to avoid the massive amounts of panhandlers and crazy people.
I don't see one smile on the subway video. There are videos of people standing on the seats to avoid all the rats and rodents living on the subways.
Per the video, people there aren't very visually appealing either considering how judgmental and perfectionist the people are.
There is a video of the scenes from Republican Omaha and the people look so happy and content.
Would rather pay $500 in conservative Republican mayored Omaha as opposed to $2000 to in DeBlasio's New York
I know here in Arizona that I feel peaceful and content in Republican Gilbert and Scottsdale but have severe anxiety spells in Phoenix from the filth, rudeness and arrogance of the people.

This is mainly a function of population density, not political alignment.
The cities with the highest population density are overwhelmingly liberal.
Kind of makes sense. With so many people, no one has time to negotiate and work with each other on a case-by-case basis to make lifestyle and neighbor-impacting decisions or help each other out, so people are fine contributing to the local government, which is tasked with making the place livable for all.
Not to mention the fact that you're comparing the experience on a subway to that of a farmer's market. Re-examine your post and figure out why you're so judgmental.

You could make this same silly comparison by taking BART to a farmer's market in the bay area and filming both.
The comparison isn't always so simple, and innocent people can get caught in the trap, but the fact remains: Large, "blue" cities and states are a magnet for the unmotivated, who spoil the opportunities for the rest of us.
And the unfortunate fact is, that since public-sector activities aren't subject to the discipline of supply and demand as expressed by the markets, their administrators seldom, if ever, are given a direct incentive to downsize into a smaller, more efficient function.
The only effective measure to address this "Blue Cancer", would be to empower local authorities, beginning at the municipal and, as the process develops, at the ward/precinct level, to identify, catalogue, and exclude the abusive few; to compel and confine to a place where they can't get out, and the behavior that penalizes all of us can no longer be practiced.
So go ahead, all you malcontents over in left Field; whine and squeal and shout "racism" and "concentration camps" as long and as loud as you wish. Sooner or later, the continued breakdown or responsibility, and the spread of irresponsible behavior, and its consequences, is going to give rise to an incident more sever than, for example, a health emergency involving more than a few dozen victims; and the real threat at this stage is that it will lead to calls for further centralization of authority.
Because, like all malignancies, the Blue Cancer eventually kills its host.
