President Trump is the President and it's irrelevant whether a rag like Time wanted him on the cover. He's President!

How can they fit a giant ego like that in such a small, small person?

Isn't this just what you'd expect from this narcissistic jackass? How about the person who actually will be named "Person of the Year" and put on Time's cover? If in fact, Trump is telling the truth and he was asked to be named to that distinction for a second year, his boasting would diminish things greatly for whoever is on the cover. That person would have to settle for being second-best. Not that anyone would expect Trump to show consideration for someone else, but this isn't just bad manners, it's unethical. How can anyone not see him for what he is? And in case anyone forgot, Adolf Hitler and the Ayatollah Khomeini were both selected as "Time's Man of the Year".

Come on trumpees, if he doesn't care why does he have fake Time covers with his picture all over his golf clubs?

People were having fun coming up with who would annoy him the most if they were picked. The suggestions I saw were

Hillary Clinton
Barack Obama
Robert Mueller
Colin Kapernick

I think it may be the year of the woman or of the sexual assault survivor.

Best list of LOSERS I've seen in a while. All are irrelevant today. Nice try though.

Small? His gut and butt are huge. Maybe thatís where he keeps his ego.

This whole Time debacle just makes Trump look even more like the raging idiot he is.

Default Trump Says He Passed On Being 'Person Of The Year.' 'Time' Says He's 'Incorrect'

The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.

President Trump took to Twitter Friday afternoon to say he passed on possibly being Time's Person of the Year because he didn't want to agree to an interview and photo shoot.

The yearly title isn't necessarily a mark of praise, but rather an acknowledgement of influence. "[T]he person or persons who most affected the news and our lives, for good or ill, and embodied what was important about the year, for better or for worse," a former managing editor of the magazine wrote. Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin have both been featured in the role.
The magazine started naming a "Man of the Year" during a slow news week in 1928, it says. The title became "Person of the Year" in 1999, though socialite Wallis Simpson was a "Woman of the Year" in 1937.
In June, The Washington Post noted that fake covers of Time magazine featuring Trump hang in at least four of his golf clubs.

The Person of the Year will be announced Dec. 6.
