She was looking at getting out of prison when she was 67 (I think that was her first opportunity for release) but now she is free at 30. She has already been in prison for 15 years, that's likely punishment enough. I do believe she murdered the guy and it was not self defense, but I've seen other murderers get 15 years for their crime, and she was only 16 at the time.

What will be the new way that Tennessee will deal with juveniles who commit murder-robberies like Cyntoia did? What exactly will Tennessee do differently the next time another Cyntoia like case comes up?

My initial opinion was no pardon, but after looking at the case I can understand clemency after serving 15+ years given the circumstances of her life and most importantly age at the time of offense.
