If you were black, good luck back then getting equivalent education and even having a fair shot at the jobs whites got.

And if you were gay or lesbian...forget it, had to act heterosexual or else you we're toast.

Diversity initiatives can be taken way too far, but the core ideas is that everyone of all backgrounds should have a fair chance if they work hard. That's a principle we should support.
If you could pick potatoes, or drive a tractor, you mattered.
Full stop.

This is disgraceful. We must somehow get more black and Hispanic people into his town.
Pronto.

Only the greatest wide receiver in the history of the game. And thus my favorite number.
I would tell you who that is, but it would either amaze or disgust you, as he is black.

And this is what your post would have sounded like, if spoken to any sane person in my area (or almost any area), a mere fifty years ago:
"De do do do, de da da da".............
Sheer gibberish.
Does that not give you pause?? Probably not.

Where you lived, perhaps. But if you were Black in America at any time before 1970, life was not good.

Diversity to the left is to divide and not to assimilate.

Look at the root of both words Diversity, and Divide.

Progressives are working to destroy this country, and our culture, so divide, and conquer is the order of the day.
