If that's what you think you will get out of this plan, you are fooling yourself. More accurately, Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan fooled you.

Odd are, you will see lower take home pay, because this plan raises the taxes of the middle class. What is equally important is that it raises the debt, so a future Congress will use the debt as an excuse to cut benefits to the middle class -- the same people that paid more. We will get screwed on both sides.

If you disagree with the Penn study, you need to state what exactly they got wrong. It doesn't cut it to merely dismiss it because you think they are liberal. If a liberal says the sky is blue, you wo't believe it? People like you often just know things that they really don't know. I'm sure your extensive evaluation is far more accurate.

25 million people who have health insurance who couldn't get it before would disagree with your extensive evaluation.

Increasing taxes on working people.

Raising the debt that will then be used as an excuse to cut programs for middle America.

Working people will come out on the short end of things coming and going.

And for what? So corporations can buy back stocks, give bonuses to the top guys, and squirrel more away in offshore accounts.

None of this will have any positive effects on the economy.

What I can't get over is that the GOP are openly admitting that tax cuts for working people are merely a gimmick.

I think you are missing something... The Trump tax plan will also slash taxes on the top 1/10 of 1%. Trump's family is estimated to gain a billion dollars in tax savings.

The culmination of 30+years of Rush Limbaugh. Stupid middle class people who spout the rhetoric you would have only heard from gilded age oligarchs because they feel like they are on that "team" as opposed the lazy welfare recipients.

Yes, if there ever was a tax plan that was completely indefensible, this is it. It lavishes the rich with tax-cuts; raises them on the middle class; blows up the deficit; doesn't increase simplicity and has no meaningful economic benefits. Yet, we read it's defenders on these pages.

Such a crazy plan that it is difficult to see how this is anything but the GOP "dancing with the guys that brung them."
