It is going to be a Royal Wessing, which usually means Westminster Abbey, although in Princess Diana's case it was St Paul's Cathedral.
It also means lots of pagentry, horses, soldiers, carriages with dignitaries and leaders from around the world. Prince Harry being a former Army Officer, and does some great charity work involving the military as well as heling to establish the Invictus Games.
We are talking about a modern couple known for philanthropy. Harry and Meghan are the antithesis of a bloating con-artist who uses racial slurs to make his mouth-breathing fan base laugh.

So Trump's absence could be an embarrassment.
How exactly would Trump's absence be an embarrassment?
Did you mean to write that his presence would be an embarrassment?

All the major world leaders in Westminster Abbey as well a Ex Presidents witnessing the Marriage of an American Citizen to a British Prince, the media would have a field day if Trump is not invited.
These Weddings are very very grand occasions, especially if it's Westminster Abbey, there will be tourists camping out from cross the world, media from every corner of the world and it will be massive news.

The media is already having a field day with Trump. Not sure how not getting an invite would change things.

The media are already running stories that Trump is not being invited but Obama is.
The US Media is going to give the wedding massive coverage, as the late Princess Diana was very popular in the US and the fact her younger son Prince Harry is marrying an American girl in a fairytale wedding is the stuff of news editors dreams.
