Maybe they want to meet with someone who will give them the respect of showing up in person and not send his daughter.

I find the former president following the new president around the globe embarrassing for Obama and imagine the Obama would have been irritated of GWB had done the same to him during his first term..
I find it awesome. Trump is nothing but a fat blowhard, Obama is light years above him & trump knows it.

And so apparently do those world leaders.

Is this not a violation of law?

Obama to meet with world leaders | TheHill
You said it right in your post. He's a private citizen. He can meet with whomever he's inclined.

What law does it violate? Can't a private citizen meet with anyone they want?

Seriously, can you post a credible link to the statute or law you are referring to?

She is there in an official capacity, at a U.S. sponsored business summit talking about women in business... she isn't giving political speeches a week before India's election.

My guess is they'd rather meet with an ex-President who's smart, than a current-President who's a moron.
Though in all fairness, Trump IS smarter than the people who voted for him.

What are you talking about? Other than Trump constantly obsessing over Obama and Hillary (more Hillary, to be fair), I have not seen him step into the limelight very much. A couple appearances with ALL living Presidents, and a comment or two (litterally, one or two). And that's what's reported by the mainstream media whom you all claim adores him and gives him too much favorable attention.

The only person who is not (painfully) aware that Trump is now the President seems to be Trump himself... I'm sure he'll figure it out soon though. What, with all the best people around him...

Yup, complaining about Obama meeting these leaders is just more evidence that Trump supporters want to turn the U.S. into a police state.
Obama has EVERY RIGHT to meet with those leaders if he WANTS to. The telling point is that THOSE LEADERS APPARENTLY WANT TO MEET WITH OBAMA.
LOL
Apparently Obama - even in retirement - has more prestige with them than Trump does while sitting in the Oval Office. I doubt that ANY of those folks will have the slightest interest in meeting with Trump after he's out of the Oval Office (assuming Trump is allowed to make trips from whatever prison he ends up in).
The Trump-minions' orange-headed god is by far the worst President this country has EVER produced - truly in a class all his own.

Obama went to Europe this year, and met with leaders in Italy and Germany plus some others I don't recall, after Trump made his trip to Europe. Now, Obama is going to Asia after Trump's Asian trip a few days ago.
