Neither tolerated Islamofacism and killed more of them in a year than we have in the last 20. We would be far better off if every ME country was ruled by an iron fisted, secular dictator who lops off heads and hands and sticks them up on poles as a warning to Islamowackos. Seems the powers that be need to go back to school about how things work in the ME.

They just keep stepping on their own dicks though. Even Hilary.
The Iraq war was one of the worst mistakes in US history and getting rid of Qadaffi was up there as well.

If only Bush had gone after the Kims instead....

Pick your poison: Qaddafi gassing his own people, or being overthrown and modern slavery taking hold. Hillary did no worse than any of the other war hawks in Washington would have done. We need to get the hell out of the Middle East.

The Iraq War was one of the worst mistakes. The even bigger mistake was leaving after the surge had worked. Then taking out Gadhafi without a plan to help the new government. I’m not sure we could have prevented it though. That was during the Arab Spring.

He couldn’t because of China. And didn’t Clinton negotiate a deal that prevented it at the time?

Agreed. The Iraq invasion was nothing more than an attempt to make I appear that we were actually carrying the fight to terrorism. Jr. figured public opinion would support his since a lot of folks thought we should have finished Saddam in Desert Storm.

Bush needed to throw the dogs a bone and seem to be engaging a tangible enemy. Afghanistan was a legit target but miring us down in a protracted ground war there was as stupid as it was in Iraq. We should have just plastered Afghanistan with bombs and cruise missiles, left Saddam alone (maybe some back room deal with him to smoke terrorist Islamonazis to his hearts content) and as you say, look harder at NK and maybe Iran.

At the time, Qadaffi was going to slaughter 250,000 civilians in order to get to the rebels. You may disagree, but that's not an acceptable moral tradeoff.

Just like Iraq, I thought intervention in Libya was also a mistake. However, the question is what are we doing about it now.

The news of the Libyan slave auctions are now being covered by CNN among other news organization. The Libyan government has responded that CNN is fake news quoting Trump:

Quote:
But in a sign that the US president’s persistent attacks on the credibility of American news outlets has a real world effect, the broadcaster Libya 218 used the tweet to question the credibility of the CNN video.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...rump-fake-news

There is schizophrenic nature to the OP and others who bash CNN as fake news and then cite them for stories they deem favorable to their cause.

OP takes pleasure in pointing out that Hillary is somehow responsible for these slave auctions, however, it is Trump through juvenile and ill-thought out tweets that are now providing cover to this barbaric practice.

Where is your outrage here OP?

Glenn Reynolds is the owner of Instapundit, a highly respected blog, one of the first blogs from back in the early 2000s. He is a law professor and is highly intelligent. In fact, he is a Beauchamp Brogan Distinguished Professor of Law at the University of Tennessee College of Law.

I know the liberals won't like that, but the fact remains, he is extremely respected by MSM, even CNN, where I first saw him many years ago, and it prompted me to start my own blog that I ran for 10 years. The left can cry and make excuses, but they will never be smarter than Reynolds.

Fact: Hillary did joke about "we came, we saw, he died" in regards to Gaddafi.
Fact: After toppling Gaddafi, all hell broke loose in the region.
Fact: Africans are being sold as slaves.

The plug has been pulled. The slow, circling down the drain is beginning.
How is that Clinton's fault again?

Your faux outrage impresses no one.
