You do realize that it takes 60 votes in the senate to get anything passed and with only 51 republican senators and so much hatred by the left towards Trump, nothing can get passed.

Too bad Republicans excluded Democrats the past year and weaponized the tax bill to penalize blue states and colleges. They want to do it all on their own, then they own the result.

So in your opinion two wrongs must make a right. Both parties suck, yet the past should be the past.

I believe the democrats were in full support of $1.4B for the border wall, in exchange for a fairly clean (they were open to some revisions) DACA bill. It would have been a pretty big "win" for President Trump as the dems would've folded and funded the wall.

Border security is one of my biggest concerns and I would have been happy to see some funding for the wall. $1.4B is a huge amount of money to get things going.

No, it's not a huge amount of money since the wall will cost billions more. Why should we have to make a deal on national security measures anyway especially since the trade off is to reward illegal aliens with amnesty? The end result of that is immeasurable in long term damage to our country.

NO. Absolutely NO. Should Democrats obstruct a future Republican SCJ? Absolutely. Should Democrats scream "You lie!" at Trump during a presidential speech? Absolutely. And now that Republicans have excluded Democrats in health care bills and tax bills and literally would not allow them to attend meetings, giving them only hours to read a 400 page tax bill filled with scribbles before a vote, they want cooperation? Laughable.

Republicans want to make cuts to Medicare and Social Security but want to spend $1.4 billion on a wall when most people fly here? The wall is a ridiculous waste that serves nothing more than to get flyover country excited about hating immigrants.

Why should we care about them we have our own kids to care about. Did their parents care about our kids or any other Americans? Not our fault that their parents brought them here illegally and neither they nor their parents should be rewarded for it. We don't need the competition for jobs and resources and it sets a precedence that all you have to do is get your kids over our border illegally and they are home free. It's a slap in the face to immigrants who came here the right way to.

Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!.....

The kids were guilty of nothing more than being children. It's not like Trump hires illegals or H1B workers - oh wait:

Once upon a time,
When people from foreign nations, stormed your shores and crossed your borders, raising their flag, while raping your women and taking your wealth, meant you were being invaded and conquered.

Have you been living under a rock for the last 40 years? Or is this all you know and were born into it, thinking that is just how it is?

Last time we got promised it would be a one time and one time only deal, they said it is only 400,000 people working in fields harvesting our food. Turned out to be over 4.4 million, doing all kind of jobs Americans once did. We are already being invaded. Trump is fixing it, or you guys would not be bent out of shape over it. Keep kicking that can, will ya!

He supports it but it appears the democrats are not willing to negotiate on the other conditions. Such as the wall etc.
If he was afraid of his base he would not have said what he did at the negotiations ( I am not talking about the supposed statements he made in the closed door meeting)
