Hollywood is crazy as hell. If this movie gets an award then we need to apologize to all the men who have been labeled pedophiles who have sex with young boys.

I'm not sure what the problem is? It's a movie.

What?

This movie is about a 17yo and a guy who is presumably between the ages of 22 and 25.

The age of consent in Italy is 14, and people age 16 and 17 can buy beer and wine. 18 and older for liquor.

So... what's the issue with this, exactly?

He met a guy who was 5 to 8 years older than him when he was of legal age and had a summer romance?

This isn't really that far fetched. It's also not remotely illegal.

I think the OP is a her.

Anyway... I think you're correct. And, since homosexuality is genetic, I'm not seeing the trouble with it, but whatever keeps people up freaking out at night, I reckon.

Hollywood is the most corrupt, disgusting place in the U.S.

The scenario could be a 25 yr old teacher and a 17 yr old student but it's OK this time because they're gay and the student approached the teacher. And you're a homophobe for criticizing the movie.

Yea... Ok.

Actually, when a person is in a position of influence over the other person’s education or career, it matters in real life, regardless of the sexual preferences of the parties involved.

In movies, not so much. Unless they’re documentaries. Which, this is not.
