How about getting government out of the marriage business?
Government can only ban civil unions in the public sector. It has no say so otherwise.
How about getting government out of the civil unions business too?
No ones rights are being violated.
I agree, Govt has NO business in ANY marriage, its only a tyrannical Govt that seeks to get involved in and regulate every aspect of the peoples lives.
As US citizens, we have the right, and duty, to throw off such Govts if they reach this point.
Matt Staver of the group Liberty Council has confirmed what I suspected all along. Roy Moore's extreme anti-LGBT beliefs are why he has such a strong base of support. Apparently supporting pedophiles and sexual predators, as long as they are straight, is morally preferable to allowing people of the same sex to love each other.
Losing a Republican Senator from Alabama impacts much more than LGBTQ issues for Trump. He has trouble getting 50 R Senators together as it is. Keeping that Senate seat is more important long-term than the allegations against Moore.
BTW, even if every allegation is true, they don't make Moore a pedophile.

Still never understood why conservatives care so much about whether two men or women consider themselves as spouses. It costs you nothing, so let people live their lives as gay and married, if they wish.
It is not all conservatives, just the American Taliban segment of the far right.
It seems to me that anyone who comes across as uber straight/macho is compensating for hidden homoerotic desires. That is why it is always the conservatives who get caught in scandal and hypocrisy. It is just the way it is
