Kimmel is an entertainer, he's going to do what he does. Now if the (alleged) child molester had apologized, and potentially removed himself from the media spotlight, nothing would have happened.

I think we've established what guys like Kimmel do or people that have hosted The Daily Show.
If they're entertainers then why do they get so involved in politics? Including entire 10 minute long monologues that discuss nothing but politics.
No one is paying them to give a crap what they think.
They play the entertainer / comedian card when it's convenient but the rest of the time they have a different mask on and want to prop up an agenda.
When they called out and made to look stupid or proven wrong, they say hey now wait a minute...I'm just a comedian! They wear each mask depending on which one fits the situation.
