WRONG. In Oklahoma City, homeless people like to hold signs begging for money at the overpasses or even sleep under them, such as at I-44 and N. Penn.

It's not just about being cruel.

To force someone to live in an institution, you have to void their civil rights.

Also, where are they all supposed to go, if in need of a restroom? There are likely few options if at all, for anything. It makes me feel terrible for them and feel compassion for those who are left to live in such a way.

Walking around, we had passed out drunks/druggies, several naked, on nearly every street corner. Most disgusting city I've been in. Amazing that liberalism has turned one of the most expensive cities in the country into that!
It’s not liberalism, it’s the mild weather which allows for people to live out on the street and not seek shelter. Get a clue. We don’t have a law that forces people into rehab and getting the help they need. Maybe we should.

^^^^^ and IF the guy you were replying to in that post truly believes that, then he is quite naive and either isn't very well traveled, or lacks decent observation skills while traveling.

WRONG
Fake news -- do some research.

Republican states have historically been more charitable than liberal states by far.

Quote
"When it comes to giving to charity, Republicans in the United States on the whole are more generous than just about any other people on the planet.
Republican states are more generous than Democratic states by a wide margin. In GOP states like Utah and Mississippi, families donate more than seven percent of their income to charity. In liberal New England states like Massachusetts, the number is less than half that."

Even the liberal NYT had to admit republicans are more generous.
"Household headed by conservatives give 30% more than house holds headed by liberals."

You have to remember the liberal mantra “We need other people’s money.”

Sure, SF and/or California COULD pay for facilities to help these people, but they are too greedy to do so.

The frustrating part is that the more such services are provided, the more homeless people show up, desperate for anything to keep body and soul together.

Many of them are from conservative areas with few services.
